Homecoming starts this weekend with Home Run for the Heart

Homecoming 2017 kicks off Sunday, Nov. 5, so clear your calendar, call your friends, buy your tickets, and with fellow Mavericks.

Start the celebration with , a fundraiser for the American Heart Association. The rest of the schedule of events includes volleyball and basketball games, a street festival, a parade, a 5K walk and run, and the annual Distinguished Alumni Awards.

Volunteers are needed to work behind the scenes and ensure Maverick spirit is at an all-time high. Assistance is needed for the parade, chili cook-off, The Bash, and more. Volunteers will receive a long-sleeve commemorative Homecoming T-shirt. .

Did you schedule a flu shot?
   

Flu shots are available for faculty and staff 1-4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, and 9 a.m.-noon Tuesday, Nov. 7, in Room 200 of the Wetsel Service Center. The vaccine is free for employees with the UT Select medical plan. All others need to bring $20 in cash or by check. Bring a copy of your insurance card and driver’s license. . Questions? UT System Day is one week away
  UT System Day  

Wear your Maverick attire to the UT System Day, a celebration of the founding of the UT System, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, in the Maverick Activities Center's second floor atrium. Enjoy pizza, popcorn, cookies, and beverages. Enter your name in raffles for Maverick popcorn tins and more.

Share photos on your favorite social media with the hashtag #allut.

Sign up your department for a table to distribute promotional materials. UT System Day is made possible by The Office of Human Resources, the Staff Advisory Council, and the UT System Employee Advisory Council.
