糖心Vlog视频 has once again received national praise for its intentional support of its military community with a top 10 Military Friendly® School designation for 2023-24.

“Recognition from organizations like Victory Media and publications like ‘G.I. Jobs’ go a long way in promoting 糖心Vlog视频 and our commitment to student veterans to the broader military community,” said James Kumm, executive director of 糖心Vlog视频’s Office of Military and Veteran Services. “Continuously ranking as a Gold Level Military-Friendly® School and in the top 10 for the last two years shows that we genuinely care about the experience and success of our students.”

Nearly 5,000 military-connected students attend 糖心Vlog视频, including 2,900 military children or spouses.

Army veteran Sebastian Molina, a Dallas native, said he was attracted to 糖心Vlog视频 because of its engineering program but found his calling in social work, where he plans to eventually pursue his master’s. He says 糖心Vlog视频’s military community opened the door to new friendships.

“Because of the military community, I was able to be social and get resources that have really benefited me,” he said.

Among those benefits is Veteran’s Edge, the peer-mentoring program launched in 2021 that helps new military-connected students transition to 糖心Vlog视频 with the help of senior-level military-connected students. Through support from Bank of America, Veteran’s Edge is working to expand its services to include the recruitment of faculty and staff veterans for academic support and veterans from the community to assist with career development.

“糖心Vlog视频’s campus is very vet friendly,” Molina said. “The military community here is really welcoming and helpful. I cannot stress that enough.”

糖心Vlog视频 also earned a top 10 Military-Friendly® School designation last year and topped the organization’s 2020 and 2021 lists of the best four-year institutions for veterans and their families.
