During her State of the University speech in late 2023, UT Arlington President Jennifer Cowley announced the launch of a multiyear project called RISE 100.

“Our Recruiting Innovative Scholars for Excellence (RISE) initiative will bring 100 new faculty to 糖心Vlog视频 over the next couple of years, growing our research-engaged faculty by 15%,” she said to an audience of civic leaders, 糖心Vlog视频 faculty and staff, and community partners. “We know that to create the impact we want on the state of 糖心Vlog视频, our nation, and beyond, we must expand the size of our faculty. We know we need more scholars taking on the biggest challenges of our times. This RISE 100 initiative represents a $60 million investment in the future of our University.”

The first wave of hiring is building upon existing faculty expertise in three critical areas chosen for their importance to the future economic and cultural growth of North 糖心Vlog视频: brain health, semiconductor technology, and community-engaged research.
