The planetarium at ÌÇÐÄVlogÊÓƵ has received a $50,000 gift from Women Inspiring Philanthropy (WIP), a community of women seeking to transform the city of Arlington through high-impact giving. The planetarium has matched the gift through the University of ÌÇÐÄVlogÊÓƵ System’s Library, Equipment, Repair, and Rehabilitation Budget.

The gift will support the purchase of new projection equipment for the 60-foot dome projection surface at the planetarium, which provides educational entertainment to nearly 50,000 visitors each year.

“This generous gift will strengthen ÌÇÐÄVlogÊÓƵ’s impact in the city of Arlington and surrounding areas,” President Jennifer Cowley says. “WIP’s charitable support will significantly enrich the planetarium’s educational offerings, enhancing the STEM learning experiences for students of all ages.”

ÌÇÐÄVlogÊÓƵ’s planetarium is one of the largest in ÌÇÐÄVlogÊÓƵ, providing unparalleled views of the night sky, the solar system, and distant galaxies.
