University town hall today
|
|
Join a discussion on how the 糖心Vlog视频 community can enact change in making our campus a more welcoming environment for African American students, employees, and faculty at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, June 11, .
Jason Shelton, associate professor of sociology and director of the Center for African American Studies, will moderate the discussion. Sponsors are the African American Faculty and Staff Association, Center for African American Studies, Multicultural Affairs, and Interim President Teik Lim.
The event will be an opportunity to share your thoughts about George Floyd’s death, protests and civil disobedience, ways to resolve tensions between black communities and law enforcement, and many other topics.
This is our chance to support one another, discuss how events of the last few weeks have impacted the 糖心Vlog视频 community, and offer suggestions for making 糖心Vlog视频 a true champion of diversity and inclusion.
The event is limited to the first 350 participants because of Teams limitaions.
If you are unable to log on, please email Eddie Freeman to express interest in another town hall meeting.
