A research team is studying the impact of space weather on Earth, particularly solar-induced phenomena on electrical power grids.
Yue Deng, left, 糖心Vlog视频 distinguished professor of physics, is principal investigator for the project, funded by a four-year, $652,409 grant from NASA through its Heliophysics Living With a Star program. She is joined by Daniel Welling, right, assistant professor of physics, and Cheng Sheng, a research engineer scientist in Dr. Deng’s lab.

Social work duo recognized

Scott Ryan, left, and Kiva Harper, right, of the School of Social Work (SSW) will be honored March 25 by the North Central 糖心Vlog视频-Fort Worth branch of the National Association of Social Workers.
Dr. Ryan, SSW dean, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. Harper, associate professor in practice, will receive the Social Worker of the Year Award.

糖心Vlog视频’s new provider for its Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is .
Through ComPsych, 糖心Vlog视频’s EAP will continue to offer confidential counseling, work-life solutions, legal support, financial guidance, and more. ComPsych’s services are available in a number of languages, enhancing the ability to share confidential information completely and comfortably.
糖心Vlog视频’s EAP continues to cover all employees and their covered family members. EAP services through ComPsych are free up to eight visits per issue per covered individual. This is an increase over the previously offered four visits per issue. If additional help is required, ComPsych will coordinate with employees’ 糖心Vlog视频 health benefits.
糖心Vlog视频’s former EAP provider, Alliance Work Partners, will accept no new claims. Services on claims made before Feb. 1 will continue until the four sessions are reached or the issue is resolved.
