Beware of fake Teams, Office scammers
|
|
Thieves are targeting and users to steal credentials to obtain sensitive user and company data. These bad actors create multiple phishing emails or chat messages intended to steal users' login information. The emails or chat messages may resemble Microsoft Teams automated notifications, asking the user to click on a link that could expose your account.
These precautions should be followed:
- Make sure your Teams meetings include only users who should be there
- When offsite, use two-factor authentication (Duo or MS Authenticator) to help prevent unauthorized access
- Be suspicious of links and attachments not expected in emails, Teams meetings, and chats
- If you open a suspicious attachment or click on a suspicious link, report it to the immediately
