ADVISORY:鈥� RECENT DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE CHANGES TO THE TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The Department of Defense (DoD) recently updated its instructions regarding the utilization of Tuition Assistance.鈥� In these updated instructions, DoD announced that they will no longer authorize Tuition Assistance for classes for which a member is also receiving benefits under the Montgomery GI Bill®鈥�– Selected Reserve program (chapter 1606 of title 10, United States Code), Reserve Educational Assistance Program (chapter 1607 of title 10, United States Code), or any other GI Bill®鈥痯rogram other than the Montgomery GI Bill®鈥�– Active Duty program (chapter 30 of title 38, United States Code) or the Post-9/11 GI Bill®鈥痯rogram (chapter 33 of title 38, United States Code).

 

Certification Steps

Step 1

  • to apply for education benefits through the VA and receive a Certificate of Eligibility.

Step 2

  • Submit the required documents to the 糖心Vlog视频 Veterans Office inbox: va@uta.edu.
    • VA Certificate of Eligibility
    • Official Degree Plan, signed by your Academic Advisor (classes enrolled in must be listed)

  • Submit an updated Official Degree Plan, signed by your Academic Advisor IF courses you are enrolled in are not on file with the 糖心Vlog视频 VA Office.
