Faculty Notification Letters (FNLs)

How You Receive FNLs

When a student’s accommodations are approved, you will receive an email with their FNL.

If you don’t see it:

• Check your junk/spam folder.
• If it’s still missing, log in to the to view it directly.
• If the FNL is not in the portal, contact the SAR Center.

Understanding FNLs

FNLs list all accommodations a student is approved to receive. However, some accommodations may not apply to your course.

If an accommodation is irrelevant, you may simply disregard it.

Examples of Non鈥慉pplicable Accommodations

• Flexible Attendance → not applicable in asynchronous courses
• Lab accommodations → not applicable in lecture鈥憃nly courses
• Alternative Testing → not applicable in courses with no quizzes or exams
